Greetings Clansfolk!
Welcome to the Clan MacLeod USA Pacific region webpage. Tammie Vawter and her husband, Brian, have been part of the California Scottish Games circuit for 8 years. Tammie can claim ancestry from both branches of the Clan MacLeod, while Brian has Fraser, Elliott and a smattering of other clans, including a MacLeod sept so many generations ago that it is a funny footnote. They have represented the Clan at Games in Central, Northern and Southern California over the years and look forward to seeing as many folk as can come by the tent in years to come!
Their two children, Ian and Megan, are now in college and high school-both "Proud MacLeods." The whole family was fortunate enough to have attended Parliament in '06 and to have had the opportunity to meet all three Chiefs. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with history.
Tammie was an inaugural member of the Scottish Society of Central California, joining due to the acquaintance and mentorship of Bill McLeod Jr, former RVP. Having put on her first ladies' kilted skirt at 18, and Brian having put on the California MacLeod during their first season on the circuit, they look forward to branching out and meeting new members of Clan MacLeod throughout the United States and beyond.
